How to Create a Virtual Machine in Azure

Azure is a Microsoft cloud computing system offering many features including Software as a Services, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service. With this, we can deploy a large scale able solutions. With Azure, we can deploy scale able server and can host our web sites applications, and other services.

We can deploy solutions for development of applications and many more. The main option is setting up virtual machine in Azure. To deploy virtual machine, follow the following steps.

Log in to you Azure account. If you do not have account you can create a free account but for that you must have a credit card.

Once log in, from dashboard, go to virtual machines option.

On virtual machine main windows, click on Add. It will open up a virtual machine configuration box.

On new window, select what you want to deploy. In this case, I am going to deploy windows server.

Now select what server version you want to deploy.

It will provide you the details. Select source manager and click on Create.

Now enter the basic information of the server system, like server name, type of hard disk, enter administrator user name and subscription type and finally the location where this machine should be deployed and then click OK.

Then elect the size of virtual machine you want to deploy and click select.

Here select the virtual machine configuration like, virtual network type storage and managed monitoring etc and click OK.

It will show you the summary what is going to be deployed. You can also download the template so of this configuration so that you can deploy virtual machine in feature easily and quickly.

Click on OK and it will start deploying a virtual computer for you on the cloud.

Once deployed, you can access it from public IP address assigned to your machine.

Please note Microsoft only charges when machine is up and running. When you don’t need it, you can turn it off and you will not be charged for that.
