How to Block “Scam Likely” Calls on T-Mobile (and Metro)

There are numerous reasons you may want to block a contact on your iPhone. Maybe it’s spam calls or an ex you want to cut off; blocking a contact takes only a few seconds or a minute.

Thankfully, the same goes for unblocking a contact; it’s easy and takes little time.

However, a contact can only be unblocked if it’s been blocked. So, let’s show you how to block a phone number or contact.

Block “Scam Likely” Calls on T-Mobile (and Metro)

To opt into Scam Block, open your phone’s dialer app. Enter and call #662# to activate the service. If you decide you want to turn it off later, dial #632#.

You can use the short code #787# anytime if you’re not sure whether you have it enabled or not.

T-Mobile customers can enable scam call blocking using T-Mobile’s Scam Shield app for iPhone and Android.

To block all Scam Likely calls, download the app and sign in with your T-Mobile account details. and toggle on Scam Block

Blocking a Contact or Phone number

Step 1: Navigate your Home Screen and tap the Phone icon

Step 2: Next, tap Contacts at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Type the contact’s name into the search bar or scroll down and tap the contact name. The details of that person will be displayed.

Step 4: Scroll down and tap “Block this Caller,” then select Block Contact.

Alternatively, you can follow these steps.

First, launch your Phone app – most likely located at the bottom of your Home Screen.

Then, Tap Recents at the lower part of the screen.

Next, tap the circled “i” icon at the right end of the number or contact you want to block.

Then, scroll and select “Block this caller.

Finally, tap Block Contact.

Unblocking a Blocked Contact

Step 1: Tap the Phone icon below your Home Screen.

Step 2: Open the Contacts tab and search for the contact you want to unblock.

Step 3: Tap the contact’s name, scroll down, and select “Unblock this caller.

Or

Launch the Phone app and open the Recents tab.

Then tap the circled “i” icon beside the contact you want to unblock.

Lastly, scroll down and select “Unblock this caller.

Note that you can’t receive calls, text messages, or FaceTimes from a blocked contact. However, they can send you voicemails.
