Change The Size of Taskbar Icons Windows 11

By default, Windows 11 comes with a magnificent screen and icon size, but if you desire to create a difference, you can make the icons bigger, so you will see the icons a little more clear. Conversely, if you desire to make the icons a little smaller, you can do so, and then you can fit more icons or your content on the screen at once.

This will allow you to set the taskbar icons to one of the three various sizes: small, medium, and large. The medium size means the default size of the icons. And let us tell you if you want to increase the size of the taskbar icons, this will automatically increase the size of the taskbar itself along with the start menu, search and task view buttons.

Change The Size of Taskbar Icons

To do modification in the size of the taskbar icons is quotes simple, all you need to do is to open the Regedit by searching for regedit using the search menu, or you can use keyboard shortcuts Windows key + R to do so quickly

Now copy the following path and paste it in the address bar of the Registry Editor.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Next, create a new DWORD (32-bit) by right-clicking in the right window pane and selecting the New->DWORD (32-bit) value.

Now name the value TaskbarSi.

Now allocate the value as you desire to one of the following 0, 1, or 2 which means small, medium, and large. Once you allocate the value, then double-click TaskbarSi to set that value.

Now close the Registry Editor and reboot the system to save the changes. You will have the size of the taskbar icons you set. And if you want to change it again, you can do so by following the same process.

You can also change the taskbar icons size from the display settings. All you need is to right-click on your computer screen in Windows 11 and select Display Settings.

Once you get to the display settings, scroll down a bit and on the right side of your screen, select Scale & layout section. The default scale is 100%, but if you want to make it a little bigger, then you can choose 125%. But we would suggest using the default scale recommended by Windows 11.
