Disable Auto-Enhance in Photos on Windows 11

Like its previous version, many users of Windows 11 are still experiencing the problem of photos appearing significantly darker in the Photos application.

Initially, the photo will display correctly for a brief moment, but then the brightness level will abruptly change to a much darker and gloomier tone.

Some users have also reported that the updated software automatically rotates portrait mode pictures to landscape, which could be more frustrating than the issue of brightness adjustment.

Type Windows PowerShell in your Windows search bar and select Run as Administrator.

Enter the following command: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Press Enter.

Restart your PC to apply the changes.

This command is used to reinstall or register pre-installed or currently installed applications that may not be working properly due to damaged files or incorrect configurations.

It is effective and enables users to disable the auto-enhance feature in Windows 11.

Nevertheless, it is recommended to first create a new user account and verify if you can view images normally before using this command.
