Disable Autoplay in Windows 10

When you insert a disc or even a USB flash drive, Windows 10 checks for the “autorun.inf” file. It then starts the auto-play wizard accordingly. If you wish to disable the Auto Play feature in Windows 10, then proceed as follows:
You can toggle Autoplay on or off using the simple toggle switch labeled Use Autoplay for all media and devices. The setting is universal for all types of media and devices.

1. Press the Win+I to open the Settings app.

2. In the Settings app, click on Devices.

3. Select Autoplay from the left pane.

4. You can toggle Autoplay on or off using the toggle switch labeled Use Autoplay for all media and devices.

Now when you plug in a USB or insert a disc to your Windows 10 PC, it will not take any action.
