I will help you disable the Charms Bar in Windows 8.1 without modifying the registry. No need to worry you can always get it back.

1. Right click the task bar and select Properties.

2. Select the Navigation Tab. Under Corner Navigation Uncheck “When I point to the upper right corner, show the charms.” Click Apply. Done!!!
