How to Drag and Drop Without Holding the Mouse Button Down

To drag and drop we have to hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse to where the file is to be dropped.

In Windows you have the option to drag and drop without holding the mouse button. To enable this feature we need to do the following:

1. Click on Start then go to “Settings”.

2. Here go to “Devices”.

3. From the left pane select “Mouse & touchpad” Then on the right click on “Additional mouse options”

4. Select the Buttons tab and enable the ClickLock feature.

Done! Now you can simply move a file from one hard drive to another, or a file from one folder to another without holding the mouse button. All you need to do is select it for a few seconds, move the mouse to the destination location and re-click on the mouse button to drop it.
