Enable PIN Login and Fingerprint in Windows 10
PIN & fingerprint login is a very secure & innovative feature of windows that improves the overall security & ease of access for a user & if your machine supports a biometric login i-e it has a fingerprint scanner.
If you have a fingerprint scanner you can set up fingerprint login in your device.
However, if you want to use the fingerprint login option you first need to add a pin to your account.
Enable PIN Login and Fingerprint
Click on the start menu at the bottom right corner of your screen and click Settings
You will see a Windows setting screen Pop-up, click on Accounts
After opening the account settings click on Sign-in options
Or you can simply skip these steps by opening up the start menu and typing sign-in options & open it directly. Now click on Windows Hello Pin and Click Add
After clicking add, a new window will pop-up which will say Create A Pin click Next here.
The next window will ask you to verify your account password. Enter your password & click Sign-in
After entering your account details now you can set up your pin in the next window. Enter your desired pin in both boxes and click ok.
You can also use letters and symbols by ticking the Include letters and symbols box. Now you have successfully added a pin to your account. Now to add your fingerprint to your account open Sign-in options again & click Windows Hello Finger Print & click Set up
A new window will pop-up click on Get Started. Now the next window will ask you to enter your pin to verify that it is you. Enter the Pin that you just set up
Now Scan your fingerprint on the fingerprint reader on your device.
You might have to repeatedly put your finger on the scanner several times so the scanner can get your prints properly.
Now you are all set you can click Add another on the next window to add more fingerprints or just click close. Now restart your device and log in using your fingerprint.
