Check File Path

PermissionError: [Errno 13] is often caused by this. Python is trying to open a folder as a file, which is why it says “Permission denied.” Check where you want to open the file again and make sure there isn’t already a folder with the same name.

Adjust file permissions

Go to the location of your file in file explorer.

Right-click on it and select Properties.

Go to the Security tab and select your name under Group or user names.

Click Edit and check the permissions.

Click Apply and OK.

Turn off execution aliases

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Go to Apps and select Apps & features.

Click on More settings to expand it and select App execution aliases.

Locate the two App Installers for python.exe and python3.exe and toggle both to Off.

Update Windows

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Go to Windows update and click Check for updates.

If new updates are available, click on the Install button and wait until it finishes.
