Fix Windows 11 High RAM Usage
Windows 11 could use more RAM than previous versions for a number of reasons. The most important is that it makes Windows 10 much better in many ways.It is a powerful operating system with a lot of features, but it puts a lot of stress on the hardware of the device.
High RAM shouldn’t be a problem unless there are no apps running and the computer is just sitting there. In this case, there are many things that could be going on.

End Task in Task Manager
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
On the Processes tab, look for applications that consume too much memory.
Select it and click End task.
Disable Startup programs
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Go to the Startup tab and click on the startup apps you want to disable.
Click on Disable.
These programs will make it take longer for your computer to start up, but they will also use up all of your processing power and RAM when they update themselves automatically and run in the background.
Disable the SysMain service
Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
Type services.msc and press Enter.
Look for Sysmain and right-click on it.
Select Properties.
Set the Startup type to Disabled.
Go to Service Status and select Stop.
Click OK to apply changes.
SysMain is known to use too much disk space and RAM on Windows 10, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the same thing happened with its replacement.
Defragment your hard drive
Type Defragment and Optimize Drives in your Windows search bar and select Run as Administrator.
Choose the drive you want to defragment and click Optimize.
Wait for the process to finish.
If you’ve been using your device for a long time before upgrading to Windows 11, your disk might need to be cleaned and optimized.
Scan the system for malware
Type Virus & threat protection in your Windows search bar and select Open.
Click Quick scan.
