Hide the Taskbar Search Button on Windows 11

Search plays a pivotal role in Windows 11, that’s why Microsoft has put a search button on Windows 11 Taskbar by default.  If you do not want to use it, or you just want to save a little space, so it is very easy to disable the search button on the taskbar.

In this article, I will show you how you can turn the search button off or on, depending on your preferences.  Hiding or disabling the search button in Taskbar in Windows 11 only takes two clicks.

Hide the Taskbar Search Button

First right-click the search button in your taskbar.  In the pop-up, click Unpin from the taskbar. The search button will disappear right away.

And there are also plenty of more ways that you can use to disable or hide the search button, such as the Windows setting.

Windows setting provides the easiest way to turn off the search button and other similar options on the taskbar.

Click on the windows start menu and select settings, you can use the keyboard shortcuts Windows + I, to do so quickly.

Now click on the personalization.

Next, scroll down a bit and click the Taskbar on the left side. Here you will see plenty of applications that you can easily turn off or on.

Scroll down a bit and turn the show search button off.

When you have finished, close the settings, and you will see there will be no search button on the taskbar.

As you can see that Search button disappears in the above screenshot.
