How To Activate / Deactivate Predictive Text On iPhone 12

The predictive text feature makes typing much easier for Apple users. The predictive text suggests words and short phrases for you while typing.

The recommended words or phrases are usually based on previously or consistently typed words and sentences – your conversations. It also suggests them based on sites you visit regularly. It does this by displaying three separate words or short phrases above your Keyboard while typing.

The predictive text feature is handy, considering it allows you to type long texts with minimum effort. Most times, predictive text is automatically activated. However, if yours isn’t, here are the steps to activate it.

Firstly, navigate your Home Screen and open the settings application.

Then select General and tap Keyboard.

Next, scroll down and toggle the “Predictive” switch to activate – it should turn green.

How To Turn Off Predictive Text

While the predictive text feature is helpful to many, it’s quite frustrating for a few. If you are part of the few, follow these steps to deactivate predictive text.

Open the settings application.

Then tap General.

Next, select the keyboard option.

Afterward, toggle the switch beside Predictive to deactivate.

That’s it!
