How to Change Account Picture in Windows 10

You may be aware that Windows 10 automatically assigns the user account picture. Windows automatically choose a silhouette for every new user account. The user account picture is changeable, and you can modify it at any time as per your wish and choice. 

Either you can snap a photo of yourself by using the PC’s camera (webcam) or you can choose a photo from the picture folder located on your computer.

Before proceeding to the actual procedure of changing the account picture, you must know that the picture you choose for your account should preferably be having the same dimensions, i.e. square shape. Moreover, you do not have to worry about the size of the picture, as windows automatically adjust the picture size.

Lastly, you must have the administrative permission to change your account picture, and you cannot change the account picture if you are using a guest account.

Change Account Picture in Windows 10

Go to the Start Menu and click your picture.

From the Popup menu, select Change Account Settings option

Windows will take you to the settings, where you will be able to see your account information.

At the bottom of this window, you will get the options to change your account picture under the title “Create your picture”.

In this option, either you can choose your PC’s camera or you can browse to any location on your computer to select the account picture.

Here is another way to reach your account settings

Go to Start Menu and select Settings or press WIN + I combo on your keyboard to open windows settings

In the settings window locate and open the Accounts option

Now you have reached the account settings page where you can change the account picture.

Here you can upload a picture from your library or take a new picture from camera.
