How to Change time and date on iPhone or iPad

Like most devices, iPhones and iPads adjust your time and date settings based on location. However, you can change the setting based on your preference.

Whether you’re travelling to a new location or want to change the wrong time setting, you should follow these steps.

Firstly, start the Settings app and tap General.

Then, select Date & Time and toggle the “Set Automatically” slider to disable it.

Next, tap Time Zone and type in your preferred/correct zone. Then select the line containing the current date and time – below “Time Zone.Tap the month and year to adjust and select the date.

Next, tap the time displayed (below) and change it to the correct/preferred one.

That’s all!

Note that you can reverse this by following the same step and toggling the “Set Automatically” switch to activate it.

You can also adjust the way the time is displayed – that’s either the 12-hour or 24-hour time format.

To activate the 24-hour time format, Settings>General>Date & Time> Activate the 24-hour time switch.
