How to Create Chart from the Given Data in MS Excel 2016
MS Office suite is very handy for the professionals and the students to carry out their different tasks. MS Word is the platform to for documentation and drafting, MS PowerPoint is widely used for making presentations, and MS Excel is used for data operations and analyze the data with the help of different built-in formulas and charts.
Analysis of the statistical data is imperative to reach a certain result. Graphical representation of statistical data gives a clear idea to the reader about the trend of the data and enables the reader and maker to have a clear image of the statistical trends. To present your data in a graphical way, follow the following steps.
Click on the Start menu button and type Excel in the search Click to open the MS Excel application.
Click on the Blank Workbook to enter the data in the excel sheet.
Enter the data for which you want to create the chart in MS Excel.
Select the complete data by right-clicking in the first cell and drag the cursor till the last cell. Navigate to the Insert option on the top ribbon. The Chart tab with all the variety of available charts is there.
Select the desired chart from the options. 2-D Cluster Column chart is selected for the data presented in this article.
As soon as you click on any chart, the chart will be created and visible on the main excel workbook. You can modify the options displaying in the created chart are by first clicking on the chart and then clicking on the + sign.
Check Axis title and Data Labels or any other option as per the requirements. The modification will be done in the chart area in real-time.
User can also change the color scheme used in the chart by right clicking on any bar and selecting Fill option in the pop-up options. Select the desired color.
For the same data, you can also add multiple charts in the same workbook by clicking on the chart option and selecting the desired chart. This will give help you to see your data presentation in different forms.
