How to Customize Touchpad Gestures on Windows 11

Using multi-touch trackpad gestures on compatible laptop touchpads may make navigating Windows 11 simpler.

On current laptops, Windows 11 enables you to employ trackpad gestures for speedier navigating throughout Windows.

Only laptops that support the Windows Precision Touchpad driver may configure touchpad movements in Windows 11.

For laptops with Windows Precision Touchpad drivers, Windows 11 supports built-in profiles. You may customize three and four-finger motions, such as swipes and taps. This guide will show you how to

Settings

Press Windows + I to open Settings.

Go to Bluetooth & devices then select Touchpad.

Expand the Three-finger gestures option and choose from the built-in app, virtual desktop, and media controls switching choices.

When you swipe up on the touchpad, the controls you define will do the action you designate.

If you set it to Change audio and volume, for example, when you swipe up with three fingers on the touchpad, the volume controls appear.

You may also assign specific actions to Taps by clicking on the dropdown menu.

Set it to Nothing if you no longer desire three-finger motions.

You can do the same if you want to set your Four-finger gestures.

Use Advanced Touchpad Gestures

Go to Settings and select Bluetooth & devices.

Then go to Touchpad option.

Scroll down and click on Advanced gestures.

You may now set custom actions for each gesture on your touchpad.
