How to Display Day Of The Week On Windows 10 Taskbar

While using Windows, you may have noticed that the windows taskbar displays clock and date but it does not display the day of the week. If you ever need to check the day of the week, you can check it by clicking over the clock or just by hovering over the clock will display the long date with the day of the week.

By default, windows do not display the day of the week in the taskbar.

In this article, I will show you how you can if you want to display the day of the week on the taskbar.

Go to the setting from the start menu or by using the key combination Win + I

In the settings, window click the Time & Language option.

In the Date & Time window move your attention to the right-side where you can see the Related Settings option. Click on the Date, time & regional formatting.

In the next window, again in the Related settings option click on the Additional date, time & regional settings.

A new window will open. Click on the Region icon.

In the Region settings dialogue box, click on the “Additional Settings” button.

In the Format dialogue box, click on the Date tab.

In the date tab, the short date format by default is as “dd/MM/yyy”.

Date formats settings also show the meanings for the notations.

You can add “ddd” for short day or “dddd” for the long day before or after the Short day as shown in the figure and click on Apply Button

Now you can see that the day of the week is showing in the taskbar alongside the date and time.
