How to Download and Install Microsoft Chromium Based Edge Browser

It’s being long now as there is a war of dominance among browsers. The main competition is between Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Microsoft has recently launched a Chromium-based Edge browser which is making its way in the browser market as that browser consumes less amount of RAM and is more responsive than Google Chrome.

In this article, I will show you how to download the Microsoft Chromium Edge browser and install it. 

Open your current browser and go to There are different download options available like Beta Channel, Dev Channel, and Canary Channel.

The best option is to go with the beta channel as this works in a much better way and with fewer bugs. Other channels are for developers and canary channels for where you get daily updated/compiled version of the browser. Click Download for Windows 10 or select your operating system from the list.

Accept the agreement by clicking Accept and Download.

Once downloaded, run the setup file and it will start downloading the edge browser directly from the internet.

Once online download will be completed, the setup will install the browser.

Once installed, the browser will do initial customization based on user selection. Setup your new tab as Inspirational, Informational or Focused. Select the option based on your needs and click next.

Then you can sign-in to your Microsoft account to sync your favorites, passwords, browsing history and many more features across devices. If you don’t prefer to login click Done.

Once done, your Microsoft Edge browser is ready to use. 

Click on the three dots at the top right corner to get the main menu of the browser where you can find all the necessary options related to Microsoft Edge Browser.
