How to Remove Duplicate Favorites on Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge provides its users with an option to remove duplicate favorites to better organize their favorites, and in this article, we will discuss how to use this feature.

If you use Microsoft Edge as your default web browser, a time may come where you may end up with duplicate copies of the same favorites in your collection. This could happen by accidentally saving the same website multiple times, or through an import or synchronizing process.

The Chromium version of Microsoft Edge has an option to scans and removes duplicates, merge favorites folders with the same names. Moreover, these changes will synchronize across all your devices that are using the same account.

In this guide, you will discuss the process to organize your Favorites collection by removing duplicates in the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

To delete the duplicate favorites on Microsoft Edge, follow these steps:

Open Microsoft Edge browser. Click the Settings (three-dot) button in the top-right corner of your browser window. Locate and click the Favorites menu.

Now click the Manage favorites option from the Favorites menu.

Favorites tab will open. Click the More Options icon in the upper right corner and then click the Remove Duplicate Favorites option.

A confirmation message will appear. Click the Remove button to confirm the deletion of the duplicate favorites.

As soon as you complete the process, the duplicate favorites will be removed from your MS Edge web browser.

If you want to clean-up the bookmarks in Google Chrome, you have to use Chrome extension namely, “Bookmarks clean up”.

You can find and install it from the Chrome Web Store. It allows you to manage your Chrome bookmarks by letting you find and delete duplicates, removing empty folders, merging duplicate folders, and by finding the broken links.
