How to Set Up “Find My” Feature on your iPhone or iPad

The “Find My” App is one of the most useful and popularly used Apple services. It is available on all Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, the Mac, Apple Watches, Apple AirTags, and Apple Watches.

This platform helps locate missing or stolen devices or items your AirTag is attached to easily. It can also allow your family members or friends to track your real-time location.

However, while this feature is very handy, it can only work if it has been set up. So, whether you just got your iPhone or iPad or are just finding out about this feature, it’s time to set up your “Find My” app. Here’s how!

Set Up “Find My” Feature on your iPhone or iPad

First, Launch “Settings.” Then, tap your Apple ID name at the top of your screen.

Next, select the “Find My” option.

On the new page, tap “Share my Location” if you want to share your location with family and friends.

Next, Choose the “Find My iPhone” option. Then, on the new page, toggle the slider beside “Find My iPhone” to turn it on.

Beneath, Tap the slider beside “Find My Network” – this allows you to locate your device even when it’s offline.

Also, toggle the slider beside “Send My Location” – it allows your iPhone/iPad to send its last location when it’s very low.

For this feature to function correctly, ensure your device’s location service is always on.
