Move Windows within Virtual Desktops on Windows 10

Windows 10 is the improved and more user-friendly operating system in all of the previous operating systems from Microsoft. It is effortless to use and has many compelling features. We are using several different applications at the same time in Windows 10.

The icons of all the opened applications are displayed in the Taskbar of Windows 10. It is a cumbersome task to navigate to different windows periodically.

Luckily, Windows 10 allows you to add as many virtual desktops as you want. Task View is the feature for adding multiple virtual desktops.

You can move your apps to other virtual desktops with ease in Windows 10. Here is how to move windows from the virtual desktop.

Move Windows Within Virtual Desktops

Click on the Task View icon in the Taskbar of Windows 10.

Windows 10 will show you the opened Tabs. Click on the New Desktop to add another desktop.

You can add as many new desktops as you want by clicking on + icon in the Task View window.

After adding the desired number of new desktops in Windows 10, click on the Desktop 1 in the Task view window.

Move the cursor to the window which you want to move to a new virtual desktop. Right-click on the Tab and click on Move option. A list of virtual desktops will open, select any of the available virtual desktops to move the selected window there.

Your Windows 10 desktop window will not show the moved window now. In our example, only two windows are left behind after moving the third window to the virtual Desktop 2.

Click on the virtual Desktop 2; you will find the moving window there. This is how you can move a window o a virtual desktop in Windows 10.
