Fix New Folder Is Missing From Right Click Menu Windows 7 and Vista

The create new folder option missing Windows 7, Windows Vista. This issue is caused by a damaged or incorrect registry key entry. Please check the following registry value:

1. Press the windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run window, Here Open: regedit, then click OK, Yes to the UAC if prompted.

2. Locate and click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\New\

3. Check if the value for (Default) is: {D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719}

If the issue persists after changing the registry key value, please try the following:

1. Press the windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run window, Here Open:  regedit, then click OK, Yes to the UAC if prompted.

2. In the Registry editor click on File, Export… , Select a destination, re-name your registry back-up and save.

3. Click here download folderfix.zip file.

4. Save the folderfix.zip file on to your Desktop.

5. Right click and extract the folderfix.reg file from the ZIP.

6. Double click the folderfix.reg file.

7. Click Yes to confirm the modification.

Here is my email address: [email protected] if you would please email it to me would be helpful. Then I will continue with trying to get my Windows 7, to create a new folder.
