[Solved] Windows 10 Search Not Working
Microsoft sends Windows 10 updates to improve its performance and do bug fixes, sometimes the updates don’t work as expected of sometimes one fix breaks something else. This time Microsoft update chased the Windows search and it’s not working at all.
Normally when you press the start key or click on the start button and start typing anything, Windows starts searching for the content to help you find the right thing for you but this time its showing blank.
The only option to fix this issue is to apply some tweaks in Windows Registry. Press Windows + R key and this will open run menu for you. Type regedit to open registry editor.
This will open the registry editor for you.
Navigate to the below location in the registry editor.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search
Right-click on the search folder and select New and then DWORD (32-bit) Value.
Name the value BingSearchEnabled
Now double-click BingSearchEnabled to open it and type 0 as default value.
Now look for CortanaConsent value in the same location and make it 0.
Once done, restart your computer and this will fix your Windows Search issue.
