Disable “There are unused icons on your desktop” Popup Balloon

RECOMMENDED: Improve PC performance Migrate to Solid State Drive (SSD)

The Desktop Cleanup Wizard is suppose to run every 60 days. But the reality is that it runs almost every 15 Minutes making it very Annoying and difficult to work on XP. So here is how to remove it:

1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties,

2. Select Desktop tab, and click the Customize Desktop icon.

3. Now uncheck the box next to “Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days”

one!! enjoy.
