Windows 8.1 Update 1 – Whats New

The first update of windows was relased in april 8 with some new features users have requested.  these new features make the GUI more easier to use with these new features and you can look whats new at this post below.

1. Boot Straight to Desktop

As we all know windows 8 didn’t have any easy option to boot straight to desktop but in windows 8.1 you can just right click the taskbar settings and make the change. For microsoft thought this was important they made the boot to desktop automatically set ON but this will not work on tablet versions of windows 8.1.

2. New Improved Internet Explorer 11

About 70% of windows users uses a third party internet browsers like chrome , mozilla and other advanced browsers but most users use internet explorer. Microsoft improved internet explorer 11 by improving internet performance depending on the device you’re using, also coming with a new syncing system so you can share links and browser history on 2 or more devices.

3. Sky Drive changes to One Drive

Sky drive is a file sharing stock application that comes with windows 8 and above and uses a cloud storage for later use. Tthis new update you will also find this feature with a different name wich is One Drive but name changing didn’t changed any of the features inside this application.

4. New Power Menu at Metro UI and Search Button

This was a highly requested feature in this update you also have the power option at metro UI at the top right side of the screen beside the user name also there is a new search button to make your search easier.

5. New Apps Notification

When you install new apps to your system they will have a sign at the right of it that says new

This update made a lot more than these changes.
