WiFi hotspot are something everyone looks for to get connected to the internet. There may come a situation where you want to share the WiFi with your friend but you don’t have any WiFi device available.

Or you may be in a hotel or visiting any place where you can only connect one device and you want to connect other devices as well but you may need to pay extra. This situation can be handled by using Windows 10. Yes, Windows 10 comes with a handy tool to setup your laptop as a WiFi hotspot so that other devices can access the internet from your internet/laptop internet connection.

Please make sure that anniversary update is already installed on your computer as Microsoft has enabled that feature in anniversary updates. (In most cases your PC has automatically downloaded these updates as soon as it releases to the public.) Follow the following steps to enable WiFi hotspot on windows 10.

Turn Windows 10 Laptop into a WiFi HotSpot

Click on start menu and on the left pane of the menu, there is a gear icon for settings. Click on that.

It will open up settings windows on your computer. Now click on Network & Internet Icon.

It will open up Network & Internet settings page. In Network and Internet Settings page, at left pane, there is an option Mobile hotspot.

When you will click on Mobile hotspot, on the right windows pan, it will show all of the settings of the hotspot. On the top Share my internet option, slide the dot to right and it will enable the hotspot for you.

You can also select the settings for hotspot like what network should be used as a back bone of hotspot, what should be the hotspot name and network hotspot key. Once done, you are done with WiFi hotspot from your computer for your other WiFi enabled devices.

Now you have enabled hotspot on your laptop and you are ready to share the internet with your friends.
