Fix Microsoft Excel Run time Error 1004

Uninstall Microsoft Works to fix Runtime error 1004

Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to open Task Manager.

End all the programs that are currently open.

Press Win + R to launch the Run dialog.

Type appwiz.cpl and click the OK button.

Find Microsoft Works. Right-click on it and hit Uninstall.

Delete GWXL97.XLA to fix Run Time error 1004

Press Win + R to open Run dialog

Type appdata and press OK.

Navigate to the following file path: Local/Microsoft/Excel

Find the GWXL97.XLA file and delete it.
