Sound is the basic requirement in every system. Visuals are not enough to convey a proper message without the sound. In Windows 10, the sound settings are configured by parts.

This article is based on the sound configuration in Windows 10. All the complete sound configuration steps are given below.

Go to the Taskbar, click on the Speakers icon and adjust the sound of the system. This is the simple method to configure sound settings of the PC.

Go to the Start button and open the Control Panel by searching the control panel in the search bar.

Change the view of the control panel from categories to large icons. Click on the Sound configuration settings to adjust the system sound.

In sound options, click on Playback and navigate to the Properties in the bottom left.

In Speakers Properties, go to the levels and adjust the balance of the left and right speakers of the system and microphone as well.

Go to the ‘Enhancements and checking the Immediate mode. Scroll down the list and check for the desired sound enhancement like Environment, Equalizer, and Pitch Shift etc.

Proceed to the Advanced settings tab and select the sound quality for the PC and you can also check the difference of each sound by clicking the Test button. Click on Apply and then OK to save the changes.

Go to Sounds in sound options just like step 4. Here you can configure the sounds for different notifications and alerts related to the Windows 10 OS. Click on any category in Program Events and select the desired sound from the available sounds in the bottom.

You can also test the sound by clicking on the Test button. Apply the settings and click OK to save them.

You can also adjust the volume separately for the apps running at the same time in your system. To configure such sounds settings, right click on the speaker icon and select Open Volume Mixer.

Change the volumes of the apps and close the settings.
