How to Download and Update Windows 10 to Latest Release

Microsoft is busy in improving the Windows Operating System. The latest version of this OS is Windows 10. This is entirely a new user interface of Windows OS as compared to its descendants. Microsoft periodically improves the performance of this OS by updating the system security and performance.

Updates are essential to run the OS smoothly. This article will tell you how to download and install Windows 10 update. Follow the easy steps below for this task.

Navigate to the Start button and right-click on the Settings icon.

In Windows Settings, click on Update and Security.

Windows update center will open on the screen now. Click on Check for Updates. It is important to keep in mind that this method is the reliable, easy and safe method to check for the updates.

It will check the update and then download and install automatically.

When the checking is complete, the new updates for Microsoft Windows 10 will begin to download. The downloading time depends on the internet speed. After downloading the update, the system will install it and ask for a Restart. Allow the system to restart to apply the recent updates.

In some cases, the recent update is not available in this method. This is because of the Microsoft adopted a throttled approach for windows update and updates are delivered to millions of people in waves. There is an alternate method to install the recent update from a secure method.

Visit the Microsoft Windows 10 Download page. There will be the information on the latest Windows update. Click on Update Now to download the Windows 10 Update Assistant. Save the .exe file system.

When the download is complete, right click on the setup application and select Run as Administrator.

Click on Update Now in the bottom right. The update assistant will start downloading the recent update. Restart the system on successful downloading of an update to install the update.
