How to Read-Aloud Articles on Microsoft Edge Browser

We sometimes feel bored reading the articles. In that situation, we prefer that someone read the article for us. This was something that was dependent on using the paid version of the software. Copying the text and then pasting it into the software and setting up the configuration etc.

Now it’s time to forget all this hassle. Microsoft Edge browser introduced the text to speech feature. This will help you to listen to the articles and you have opened in the browser. In this article, I will explain how we can use this feature.

Open Microsoft Edge browser and open the website or the article you want to listen to. For this tutorial, I am opening an article How to migrate Windows 10 and Installed Data to a Solid State Drive

Once opened, you will see a book icon with a speaker in the Microsoft Edge address bar.

Click on the icon and it will open a new text-only format of the article with options for text to speech conversion. Some of the options are related to text and grammar tools.

Now click on the Read aloud option and Microsoft Edge will start reading the article for you.

You can also pause, read the next paragraph or the previous paragraph using the toolbar at the top. You can also change the voice by clicking the Voice options.

Once done, click on the X  on the top right corner of the text to speech windows to stop reading the article.
