How to Hide Photos and Videos on Your iPhone or iPad
All thanks to Apple, your privacy has never been more secure. You can now keep photos and videos from the reach of your kids or anyone going through your gallery.
When you hide photos or videos on your iPhone or iPad, they are separated from your pictures and kept in a separate folder. Using this hidden folder, you can keep personal photos and videos away from prying eyes.
Hide Photos and Videos on Your iPhone or iPad
First, Navigate your home screen and launch the photo app on your iPhone or iPad.
Then, tap “library” at the lower-left corner of the screen and select the photo or video you want to hide.
(Note: You can also access photos or videos through the Albums tab.).
Next, select the share icon at the lower-left corner of the screen – it is shaped like an arrow protruding from a box. Then scroll down and select “Hide.”
Next, tap “Hide Photo” on the pop-up menu. The photo or video will be taken to the “Hidden” album.
When this is done, your photos will be hidden automatically. However, while these steps can help you hide your photos, some nosy persons can still access these hidden photos.
The Hidden album can still be accessed through the photo app.
But you can make this album even more private. Let’s show you how.
Open the Settings App on your iPhone or iPad. Then, scroll down and tap “Photos.”
Next, toggle the slider beside “Hidden album.”
The hidden album is automatically enabled on most Apple devices – it can be accessed through the photo app.
However, the hidden album cannot be accessed through the photo app when you disable it.
