Open MS Excel in Safe Mode

Press Windows + R keys and type excel.exe /safe.

Press OK to open MS Excel in safe mode.

Go to File tab and select Options.

Select Add-ins.

Choose COM Add-ins from Manage and press Go.

Disable all the add ins and restart MS Excel app.

Go to the File tab again and select Open.

Open the same file. If it opens, the problem is solved.

Disable Hardware Graphics Acceleration

Open Task Manager

Quit all running instances of Excel.

Open a new MS Excel and click on File.

Select Options and choose Advanced.
