How to Change Notification Sound in Windows 11

If you’re not satisfied with the default notification sound on your Windows 11 PC and want to change it, this guide will provide you with all the necessary methods to do so.

Use the Settings App

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Go to System and select Sound.

On the Advanced System, click More sound settings to open the Sound dialog box.

Go to the Sounds tab.

Under the Program Events, look for the Notification section.

Choose your preferred sound and click Test to hear the preview.

Click Apply and OK.

Use the Control Panel

In your Windows search bar, type Control Panel and select Open.

Click on the Hardware and Sound. Ensure that the View by is set to Category.

Click on Sound and go to the Sounds tab.

Under the Program Events, look for the Notification section.

Choose your preferred sound and click Test to hear the preview.
